It's important to listen to your doctor and specialists. They know more about cancer than you ever want to know. However sometimes it's good to remember whose body they are talking about.

 

One of the most difficult things about a cancer diagnosis is the lack of control you have. Sometimes this is necessary. Others have to help you make decisions and in other practical ways. However as far as possible, strive to be involved in the decision making.

 

Seek to understand what the medical folk are talking about. Ask plenty questions. You're paying them enough! Expect them to explain as much as you're able to understand.Take notes, Google the subject, and go back with further questions if necessary.

 

Yes, they have the knowledge. But it's your body!
